What is technical documentation?

Technical documentation encompasses all documents that form part of the product under the German Equipment Safety Act, also known as ‘product-related documentation’. This includes, for instance, operating manuals, software manuals, assembly manuals, product descriptions and much more besides.

Why are graphics so important for technical documentation?

Graphics and illustrations play a crucial, supporting role. So functions and action sequences of technical content are communicated to users by means of professionally designed images and multidimensional illustrations.

What does e-learning mean?

‘E-learning’ refers to independent learning with the support of digital media such as videos, animated images or similar resources. The learning material is not presented in face-to-face training sessions but learning takes place independently on electronic devices such as PCs, tablets, smartphones, etc.

Why are translations needed for technical documentation?

Following linguistic adaptation of the user interface (localisation), software systems can be marketed abroad too.
